 Quatre Quarts Cake with Homemade Plum Wine

毎年作る自家製梅酒。

一昨年作った梅酒の梅が沢山瓶にゴロゴロしていたのを贅沢に使ったカトルカール。

梅酒の芳香な香りと甘〜いバターの香りのコンビネーション。

梅酒効果で生地もしっとりと焼き上がって、、、

心にほっと灯が灯るような、優しいお菓子です。

日本にまだ行ったことがないという友人達を招いて

この和風ケイクでお茶の時間。

日本の文化やお料理の話題に花が咲きました。

そして日本といえばこの花。ただいまバンクーバーの桜が満開中。

まだまだ肌寒い日々ですが、

待ち焦がれた大好きな季節がようやくやって来ました。

昨日は朝の雨模様から一転して、午後は青空広がる晴天に。
